The meme 'You Should Kill Yourself… Now!' features an image of YouTuber and Street Fighter player Low Tier God with a photoshopped effect that makes him appear as if he is channeling lightning. This image is paired with a quote from one of his streams directed towards a purported stream sniper. The image quickly became popular, being used widely as a reaction image and in redraws across various platforms. Over time, the image and the accompanying text evolved into a copypasta known as the "Low Tier God Copypasta."

The meme originated from a rant by Low Tier God during one of his Super Smash Bros streams, where he aggressively told his opponents and stream snipers to kill themselves. This incident occurred before April 26th, 2020. Following a global ban from Capcom-related events due to his history of making offensive statements, humorous video edits of the rant began appearing online. On April 26th, 2020, a Youtube video featuring the rant set to Sonic 3 and Knuckles soundtracks was uploaded by Youtube user Remy Dyte. Shortly after, on May 4th, 2020, a video was posted on Twitter (now X) by @prowerrr_ where SpongeBob narrates the rant using a 15.ai meme editor. Before August 12th, 2021, the image macro of Low Tier God channeling lightning with the quote was presumably first created and shared within a trolling community on Discord. It then appeared online publicly for the first time on a 4chan in a post on August 12th, 2021, within a /co/ board.[1]
