Typically, in the final panel, the main character is shown screaming in anger. The character is simple with a basic, black and white outline and an exaggerated face to emphasize the screaming, often captioned with 'FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-' in bold, red letters next to the character. Its simplicity and relatability have allowed the Rageguy to become a staple in the Rage Comics series.

Rageguy originated on the 4chan /b/ imageboard in 2008. It was introduced through a four-panel comic, created using MS Paint, capturing the frustrating 'toilet splashback' experience. This experience was laid out in the first three panels, culminating in the fourth panel which featured the character of Rageguy screaming. The meme quickly gained popularity due to its expressive portrayal of common annoyances (see the original comic).[1]
