The meme originated from a live broadcast on a baseball game between St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros on June 7th, 2011, captured by FOX Sports Midwest. The image shows a Houston Astros fan in a lively conversation with a woman seated next to him. The next day, on June 8th, 2011, the sports blog JoeSportsFan.com archived the image with a humorous caption and also shared it on their Facebook page. Subsequently, the image and article were featured on Lobshots and later included in a meme collection on Piximus. By December 21st, 2011, it had found its way onto the /r/funny subreddit here, where it received over 1,300 upvotes. The man in the photograph has been speculated by some to be the former American football quarterback Tony Romo, with suggestions that the woman could be singer Jessica Simpson or model Joy Trimble.[1]
